Influenza A H1N1 in Brazil- week 44

In Brazil, until week 44, were 24,729 laboratory confirmed cases of Influenza A H1N1 and the total of 1,528 deaths.
The highest incidence was recorded in the region south and southeast, where the winter was stronger in relation to other states in the country.
Among the confirmed deaths by the virus H1N1, 39.7% were in fertile age and of these, 24.1% were pregnant women.
The mortality rate in Brazil and 0.8/100 thousand habitants.
Risk groups remain: under 2 years old, pregnants, cardiovascular problems, chronic diseases.
